Our growing company is seeking a Tao Calligraphy Teacher to lead the teachings of Dr. and Master Zhi Gang Sha in Chinese art. As a travelling teacher you will be based at our Canadian Corporate Office located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and transmitting the ancient Chinese art of Yi Bi Zi form Tao Calligraphy in Canada.
This permanent full-time role is based on 40 hours per week. Our compensation package includes group benefits, paid vacation and professional/personal development time.

Tao Calligraphy Senior Teacher
Overview
Reporting to the Director of Education, The Tao Calligraphy Teacher will promote and transmit the unique cultural heritage of the ancient Chinese art of Yi Bi Zi form Tao Calligraphy in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Travel to various locations throughout Canada as directed by Employer to teach Tao Calligraphy workshops, consultations and events.
- Teach Tao Calligraphy in one-on-one settings as well as small to large groups to achieve learning objectives determined by the Employer
- Attend and participate in workshops or conferences deemed by Employer as necessary to maintain and further develop educational and artistic ability as a Tao Calligraphy Teacher
- Participate in promotional activities to generate interest and enrollment in Employer’s Tao Calligraphy workshops, consultations and events
- Collaborate with various departments, divisions and centers to determine optimal locations and dates for workshops
- Schedule dates, provide marketing material and prepare for the setup of Tao Calligraphy workshops
- Develop curriculum and teaching materials
- Organizing the Tao Calligraphy event content
- Be involved in workshop venue selection (if not at USSC locations) ensuring that all contracts are duly signed and Commercial Liability Insurances are obtained
- Training of new teachers and ongoing coaching and mentoring
Qualifications
- Must be a certified Tao Calligraphy Teacher
- 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience in event planning would be an asset
- Multi-lingual would be asset; English, Mandarin, French, German, would be an asset communicating to World-wide students
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees
- Proactive and independent
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent Time Management skills
